City Water

City Water is an experimental project that combines found sounds and ambient textures with minimal, discreet verse. Compositions are piano-based, improvisational and loosely considered expressive therapy "movements."

Movements 1 and 2 were released digitally in 2015, followed by a monthly improvisation series in 2015 and 2016. Movement 3 was released in 2017 in partnership with experimental label Halfpear Records in digital and cassette formats.

City Water was commissioned to compose Sunken Garden for Sound Expeditions, a city soundtrack project for Indianapolis documenting "site-based sound art and composition. The project was a collaboration with the Indiana State Museum and TEAM Records. Other artists included Stuart Hyatt, Eluvium, and Julianna Barwick.
